Break Up with Doubt & Trust Yourself
Hello hello hello!!!
A new week is upon us💃🏽 Hurricane Florence is around the corner lurking, so we really have to stay on our toes. Schools are out the rest of the week, the state is in a state of emergency, highways are scheduled to be reversed 👀👀 I’m just praying it’s not as bad as they are expecting! Anywho, enough about current events 🙂
Now let’s gets personal. Last week I talked about where I’ve been these last few months and why my hiatus was a much needed personal growth experience. The experience allowed me to reclaim my power within ⚡️ while I unplugged from all social media. Today I want to focus on a topic that we all have dealt with one time or another and that’s ✨CONFIDENCE✨. Confidence is defined as the feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities.
We all know that comparison is the thief of joy and it can very dangerous! It can lead you to doubt yourself and diminish your confidence. You may end up feeling like there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel. You may feel like everyone is moving up, but you. You may even feel like life just isn’t fair. Well, that was me a few months ago…full of doubt and a severe lack of confidence😥.
We all get down sometimes, but it’s during those moments you discover your true inner strength. Here are 5 ways to break up with doubt and trust yourself again. They really work…believe me☺️
- PRAY – Prayer changes things🙏🏾. You need those intimate moments with God! Go to church, journal, study with Bible plans, and have those real talks with Him. He knows it all before you even lay it before Him. Take the time to get to the root of your doubt and address it head on! Pray that He gives you the strength to conquer your battles…they are already won anyway. 💁🏾♀️
- SERVE – Serving is such a selfless act. No matter the service you do, you allow yourself to focus on something bigger than yourself and that diminishes your problems and doubt. Find something that you can truly stand behind and you’ll find out what you really stand for.
- SPEAK DAILY AFFIRMATIONS – What you think 💭 is what you become. Whatever you focus on, magnifies in your life. As you say positive affirmations over yourself 🗣 and your situation, your perception begins to change and in turn so does your situation. Your words have power.💪🏾
- EMBRACE SELF-LOVE – Be a friend to yourself. Love yourself for who you are and forgive yourself for who you are not. Let go of the opinions of others and see yourself the way that God sees you. There’s only one you and you were created for a reason, so own it and stop apologizing for who you are! Nowadays we are so busy and giving of ourselves that we forget the smalls things we love about ourselves that make us unique…slow down and take some ME time — it’s okay to say “NO”. Know who you are and whose you are! 💛 Self love is truly the best love ❤️…it breeds a humble confidence they no one can break.
- HAVE FAITH – Hebrew 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is like the special pill or magic fountain, but 1,000 times BETTER!! Faith is having a know so in your knower that all things work together for your good. Faith is believing things will change, even when you have no idea how. Faith is big and it gets you to new heights and through greater boundaries. Having faith is truly a life saver 🙌🏾
When life gets you down, please remember that you are not alone. We’ve all been in the boxing ring with doubt before. It’s never about how you begin, but how you finish. So finish strong with both hands up knowing that you are victorious over all things that may come your way! Everything you need is already within ❤️ just break up with doubt and trust yourself.
